Official Rules
Show Format
• Comedy Laffle is an open mic comedy event where each performer is initially granted 3 minutes of stage time.
• If, based on audience response and host judgment, the comic makes the audience laugh sufficiently, an additional 2 minutes may be awarded.
• If the audience response is insufficient, as determined by the hosts, the performer will be required to perform 1 additional minute (the “Push Through It Minute”).

Judging & Award
• At the end of the show, the hosts will select one comic as the Laffle Winner, based on overall performance and audience reaction.
The winner will be awarded the Laffle Teeth and may optionally participate in:
• A promotional photo with the trophy for the Comedy Laffle social media and website.
• Providing their social media handle(s) for promoting the comic through tagging and web listing.
• To receive the promotional photo and tagging, the winner must sign the media release form (see "Recording & Consent" below).

Sign-Up & Timing
• Performer sign-ups begin at 7:30PM at the venue listed on Comedy Laffle’s flyers and website (in the "Shows" page).
• The show begins promptly at 8:00PM at the same location.
• Performers must be present by 7:45PM to secure their spot.

Performance Conditions
• Even in the event of a low or nonexistent audience, sets will still proceed.
• Other comics’ reactions will count toward judging if an audience is not present.
• Hosts will still judge performance quality in the absence of an audience.

Expectations & Code of Conduct
• Performers are expected to follow all local laws and venue policies.
• Hate speech, incitement of violence, and harassment are not permitted and may result in removal from the show.
• Respect fellow performers, hosts, staff, and the venue at all times.
• Management reserves all rights at all times.

Acknowledgment Agreement
Recording & Consent
When attending and signing this agreement at the event, you acknowledge and agree that:
• Your performance will be recorded via video, photo, and/or audio.
• Your performance may be shared online, including but not limited to social media platforms and the Comedy Laffle website.
• You grant Comedy Laffle and its affiliated personnel the right to use, distribute, promote, and modify your recorded performance for promotional and commercial purposes, without expectation of payment or royalties.
• You waive any claims against Comedy Laffle‘s use of the recordings, including image, voice, name, and likeness, as part of Comedy Laffle’s ongoing promotion and documentation of its brand and participating comics.
• Your performance will be recorded via video, photo, and/or audio.
• Your performance may be shared online, including but not limited to social media platforms and the Comedy Laffle website.
